If you were to look through the CLA conference program you would find Rancho throughout. Representatives from our library permeated the conference. Robert and Michelle shared a big picture on page three and after that it seems like every page has a mention of someone from Rancho, presenting a session or as a member of a committee. You would be hard pressed to find another library mentioned as often as Rancho. The exceptions possibly being Oakland and San Francisco which are obviously much larger systems, besides just making sense logistically for a NorCal conference.
Not only does Rancho represent in numbers, we represent fantastically in person. We all know Robert is a great public speaker. Not as often though do we get to see Angelica, Wess, and Margaret. Let me tell you, they are all great. I respect their abilities, enthusiasm, energy, and grace immensely.
I was proud to tell people that *I work for Rancho *Robert, yes, he's my director *Michelle, my boss, left you a note *It's my first time too and *Yeah, I'm presenting.
I don't know how you previous conference attendees managed to blog during a conference. Perhaps you cut back on sleep because that's the only time I could see any of us managing to type something up. The conference was busy between attending sessions, running room keys around, and eating some fantastic food (I swear I had the BEST grilled cheese of my life!). It was a great experience and I am grateful to Robert and Michelle for this opportunity.
